I think we all can say that 2022 was quite a year for numerous reasons! Coming out of the pandemic, it was so nice to get back to a normal rhythm in many areas. Yes, the real estate market went crazy, and then took a nap, all in the same year. Yet through the ups and downs, it was satisfying to help our clients find success.
I continue just to be in awe of where I live. Enjoying the outdoors out my front door and the people / community Golden offers us is truly a gift. I am passionate about where I live, caring about what happens here and desire to come alongside people in this community to make a difference!

2022 was our best real estate year to date, as a team and as individuals. Our volume and total sales were higher than ever before. We reached more people, met new friends and helped our clients find their place in Colorado. It continues to be an honor to serve people and help them accomplish their goals, in both listing or buying their new home. The areas we covered included Golden, Evergreen, Boulder, Arvada, Lakewood, Highlands, Aurora, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Firestone, Westminster, Conifer, Bailey, as well as Steamboat Springs, Summit County and Winter Park.
As far as recognition, The Fox Group was voted Best of the Best in Golden by Colorado Community Media as well as myself as an individual agent. For the 6th year in a row, I was given the 5280 Five Star Professional Award. Our move to Compass has given us a competitive edge that helps everybody win, especially our clients. We as a team continue to prioritize giving back. It is truly a joy serving with and sending financial support to our favorite ministries and organizations overseas and here locally. Some of these include the Golden Civic Foundation, BeGolden, Emmanne Ministries, Rocky Mountain Police and Fire Chaplains, Leadership Golden.

On a personal note, I accomplished a few goals in my 50th year on this earth. I completed all three races of The Grand Traverse which was called The Triple Crown. It consisted of a 40 mile / 8k elevation gain backcountry ski race from Crested Butte to Aspen in March (with my partner Dave Clingman), a 40 mile run on the same course in September followed by a 40 mile mountain bike the next day – finishing 1st place in my age group in the run and top 6 in the Triple Crown. This had been on my bucket list for awhile and it was fulfilling to see it through. Needless to say, I will not be doing that again this year. One Triple Crown is enough!

My wife Leslie and I were thankful to get away to Switzerland with our good friends and family members, Jeff and Molly Dykstra. What a stunningly beautiful country Switzerland is.

As a couple, we are still getting out into the outside as much as we can and have planned several intentional retreats with friends to get them out as well. The outdoors continue to be a place of healing, encouragement and ministry for us and our community. Stay tuned as we will continue to expand this dream in the coming years!

The family is doing great. Emily just turned 24 and is serving as a pediatric ER nurse in Nashville and Sydney, 21, is a thriving Junior at Biola University in LA. Leslie and I are going on 28 years of marriage this June. Marriage is work and it is joy. We continue to put in the effort, allowing others speak into our relationship and challenging us to love each other better. It has been worth it, every step of the journey! I am thankful for God’s blessings, and hope to continue to be a good steward of all He has sent our way.

We are looking forward to an exciting and eventful 2023. The real estate market here in Colorado is already showing signs of bouncing back and we look forward to the new friends and clients we will get to meet and serve this year.
Sincerely,
