It’s great to be in Golden almost any time of the year. Many people discover Golden in the summer when tubing season is in full swing, but there are actually great things going on throughout the year. The Holiday season is no exception, as Golden goes all out with several Christmas and Holiday events that bring the town to life. The season kicks off with the Golden Candlelight walk, a highlight for both residents and non residents. Thousands of people pack downtown Golden and walk under the lights, sing Christmas Carols, and watch on the Washington St bridge as Golden turns on its Christmas lights for the season. It’s an event we do not want to miss as a family, and its a great time to get into the Holiday Spirit. Below are a list of several fun Holiday Events to try in Golden this season. Golden Holiday Lights: Running now through Feb 16th. Come walk downtown or on the clear Creek Trail under the glow of Holiday lights in all directions
The Golden Candlelight Walk: Dec 2nd. The walk begins at 6:30, but several venders and events start around 5:00. VIDEO OF WALK
Holiday Parade: Saturday Dec 10th, 10:30 am. The parade runs from 10th St to 13th St, along Washington Avenue in downtown Golden. Come check out the floats, musicians, holiday characters and Santa Clause
Jingle on the Avenue: Saturday Dec 17th, 11am-1pm. Meet and mingle with your favorite holiday characters, take pictures and shop in downtown Golden.
Polar Express: Head to the Colorado Train Museum in Golden for this one of a kind experience that runs through December 23rd. Ride to the North Pole on vintage coaches, visit with Santa Clause and enjoy a theatrical production. Get your tickets early, and this opportunity sells out quickly. MORE INFO HERE.
